Malaysia and Singapore were the first stops on the Asian leg of our grand world tour. The stop was equal parts interesting, exciting, educational and eye opening. Asia is a wonderful place and Malaysia was a smooth transition from the "western" type of traveling we had become accustomed to in NZ and Australia. We spent three weeks exploring the area and got to do some incredible things like enjoying a $30 Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel, exploring a Hindu worship place at Batu Caves, experiencing the strange phenomenon of an asian fish spa in Kuala Lumpur, eating delicious food in Penang, attempting to take the jungle train in Kota Bharu and wrapping the trip up looking for some tigers in the world's oldest rainforest at Taman Negara.
